Energy Advisor

Location: Denver, Colorado


SUMMARY
The primary role of the Energy Advisor is to interface with prospective RGS Energy customers, providing basic education about solar, qualifying sites for a potential solar installation, and scheduling a solar consultation appointment with an RGS Energy Sales representative. The Energy Advisor team is also responsible for fielding inbound calls to the sales department and inquiries through the chat feature on the RGS Energy website. The role requires basic sales abilities, knowledge of our solar products and offerings, excellent communication skills, and a customer-first attitude.

Key Responsibilities

  • Active outreach to pipeline of potential RGS Energy Customers

  • Educating prospects about basics of solar power

  • Qualify sites for solar and schedule sales appointments with an RGS Energy Solar Energy Consultant

  • Engage with prospective customers to gain understanding of their goals and motivations for solar

  • Manage lead pipeline and log daily activities in Salesforce

  • Field inbound inquiries (both calls and through chat) to the RGS Energy Sales department

  • Represent RGS Energy in a professional manner to all prospects and existing customers

  • Maintain knowledge of active marketing campaigns

  • Address prospective customer questions and concerns via phone and email


Skills and Qualifications:


  • Associate degree or greater

  • Sales and/or customer service experience

  • Experience with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, or equivalent

  • Knowledge of the solar industry is a bonus; experience in a high tech, construction, or renewable energy company highly preferred

  • General computer aptitude

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)

  • Strong organizational skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to meet deadlines under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously and independently

  • Highly motivated to meet and exceed goals
