Small Commercial Energy Analyst

Location: Denver, Colorado

As a Small Commercial Energy Analyst, you will learn the inner workings of originating, reviewing, processing, and integrating solar systems on commercial sites. This position requires a strong work ethic and professional aptitude, as well as the ability to efficiently work within a departmentalized team to keep solar projects streamlined.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary point of contact for sales team members regarding system design, pricing, financing, and contract and processing issues

  • Assert direct input into the sales and negotiation process by designating system pricing with regards to equipment cost and gross margin

  • Perform initial audit of individual sales, verifying project information including gross margin, system configuration, and financing regulations

  • Perform final audit of projects with input from Site Technicians and Engineers, ensuring all customer requisites have been collected prior to the project being moved to Construction team

  • Oversee high level process workflow and maintain relevant metrics in Salesforce database for all sales Opportunities and Projects

  • Maintaining company software databases

  • Troubleshooting project issues

  • Additional responsibilities and duties as assigned by supervisor


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or equivalent

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and advanced skills with Microsoft Excel

  • Experience working with Salesforce or comparative CRM platform

  • Ability to communicate complex details including project requirements

  • Proven problem solving skills and a team oriented mindset

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including patience with employees of varying skillsets

  • Experience working in a sales, operations, or project management capacity

  • Ability to thrive in a constantly changing work environment

  • Strong organizational skills and strict attention to detail
