Energy Sales Representative (06-14-234)

Location: Marshfield, MA, USA

Represent an elite solar energy company and participate in the widespread deployment of renewable technologies. Your customers save money immediately from less-expensive solar electricity. We have a large existing customer base and we're looking for friendly sales consultants to navigate our clients through the process of purchasing their electricity from a cheaper, non-monopolized source.

Solar sales experience is a must, including inside and phone sales experience. We will train you on how to be the best at selling solar electricity services to our customers, and equip you with everything you need to be successful.

 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales of residential solar electric services (monthly quota)

  • Maintain required reporting metrics utilizing Salesforce.com CRM tool

  • Participate in company-wide sales calls and regional meetings

  • Manage and develop your client list through full life cycle business development and lead generation

  • Close deals and sign contracts over the phone or Internet or at client homes

  • Follow up with new customers after installation to ensure customer satisfaction

  • Prospect for and qualify leads via referral marketing, network marketing, and ground-based marketing campaigns

  • Use online tools (SketchUp) to conduct preliminary site evaluations and develop system designs

  • Generate project proposals/quotes for customers

  • Analyze customer electric use history and provide ROI report

  • Log all communications with customers in CRM contact database


 
Essential Qualifications:

  • A previous successful track record of consumer sales experience (preferably in-home)

  • Ability and willingness to work a variety of hours including nights and weekends

  • Experience in the solar industry preferred (we provide paid training)

  • Strong track record of full cycle business development and lead generation

  • Strong track record of achievement (sales awards, beating quota, building a new book of business or growing a market, etc.)

  • Must be highly proficient with Microsoft Office. CRM experience a plus. Strong computer skills are a requirement.

  • World-class communication and customer service skills and experience

  • Passion for green energy and renewable technologies

  • Four year college degree preferred

  • All candidates must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background and drug screen
