Energy Sales Representative (11-13-350)

Location: Metro, NY, USA

Represent an elite solar energy company and participate in the widespread deployment of renewable technologies. Your customers save money immediately with power from a less expensive solar electricity provider. We have a large existing customer base and we're looking for friendly sales consultants to navigate our clients through the process of purchasing their electricity from a cheaper, non-monopolized source.

Sales experience is a must, and inside and phone sales experience is a plus. We will train you how to be the best at selling solar electricity services to our customers and equip you with everything you need to be successful.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales of residential solar electric services (monthly quota)

  • Maintaining required reporting metrics utilizing Salesforce.com CRM tool

  • Participating in company-wide sales calls and regional meetings

  • Managing and developing your client list through full life cycle business development and lead generation

  • Closing deals and signing contracts over the phone/Internet or at client homes

  • Following up with new customers after installation to ensure customer satisfaction

  • Prospecting for and qualifying leads via referral marketing, network marketing, and ground-based marketing campaigns

  • Analyzing customer electric use history and consulting on utility details

  • Logging all communications with customers in CRM contact database


 
Essential Qualifications:

  • A previous successful track record of consumer sales experience (preferably in-home or phone sales)

  • Ability and willingness to work a variety of hours including nights and weekends

  • Strong track record of full cycle business development and lead generation

  • Strong track record of achievement (sales awards, beating quota, building a new book of business or growing a market, etc.)

  • Must be highly proficient with Microsoft Office. CRM experience a plus. Strong computer skills are a requirement.

  • World-class communication and customer service skills and experience

  • Four year college degree preferred

  • All candidates must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background and drug screen
